Project to study the impact of interactive whiteboards on student achievement in Danish primary schools

COPENHAGEN, Denmark --- November 18, 2004 --- SMART Technologies Inc. and Dansk Data Display A/S, SMART’s distributor in Denmark, announce their support for a year-long pilot project to study the impact of interactive whiteboards on student learning and achievement in Danish primary schools. The project was initiated and funded by the Danish Ministry of Education and led by UNI•C, The Danish Center for Education and Research. SMART and Dansk Data Display have installed SMART Board™ interactive whiteboards and projectors in three primary classrooms included in the project. A representative from Dansk Data Display will also accompany a UNI•C study tour of 25 teachers to various UK schools and learn about the use and benefits of interactive whiteboards in British classrooms.
